2024 Branch Elections
A letter from our Secretary
Dear Valued NAACP Amarillo Branch Member:
The time has come for us to elect officers and executive committee members for the branch. National NAACP is using an online voting platform. In order to use this platform, you MUST have an email and/or a cell phone that can access the platform. This is a decision made by National.
We all understand how important voting is and voting for the leadership of our local branch is no exception.
Therefore, please send your email and cell phone number to me at the following email:
jerri@amanaacp.org. If you are not comfortable email this information, you may call my cell phone at 806.881.6810. I work full-time in a job that often does not allow me to answer calls. I also have many obligations away from work. So if you call and I do not answer, please leave a voicemail with your name, email and your cell phone number. I will update your national record.
Thank you all for your membership and continued support of the NAACP Amarillo Branch.
Jerri Glover
Secretary

Chandra Perkins, Founder and Executive Director of Storybridge, shares about Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library (DPIL) coming to Potter and Randall Counties:
In March 2021, Storybridge officially became a local affiliate of DPIL, a globally successful book gifting program. For the first time ever, parents in our area (Potter and Randall Counties) can now enroll their children from birth - 5 and receive a free, high-quality book in their mailbox every single month. For many children who would otherwise own just a few (and sometimes zero) books of their own before entering Kindergarten, this program has the potential to transform lives and the face of education in the Panhandle. DPIL has become a wildly popular, self-evangelizing program, still growing every month. We now serve about 7,265 children in Potter and Randall Counties, making Storybridge the largest DPIL provider in Texas.
