A Message From Our President Regarding The Tragic Discovery At Hines Memorial Park

The NAACP Amarillo Branch offers comfort and our condolences to the family of the girl found at Hines Memorial Park. We will continue to support the Amarillo Police Department and ask that they be allowed to conduct their investigation without public interference. We are committed to providing the facts regarding this situation and not allowing false truths to lead this narrative.

We know that many individuals have obtained videos and photos of the incident. We are asking you to consider the family and their distress during this time and not share or circulate the videos or pictures on social media. As a community we need to wrap our arms around this family and let them know we are here to support and love them through this tragedy.
